We support conservation nonprofits, land trusts, tribal nations, local governments, and other outdoor recreation organizations who are leading projects that expand or secure public access to the outdoors, and/or steward lands open to public recreational use. Submissions are accepted only for site-based projects, not general operational budgets.
Before Applying

- Carefully review the five Project Types of our grant program before submitting an application.
- We typically review applications twice per calendar year. Application closing dates for each cycle can be found on our grant program webpage.
Application Process
- You will need to create a Submittable account to apply, or log in to your existing Submittable account.
- Complete the application form.
- Be sure to save your application draft frequently as you complete the form using the Save Draft button at the bottom.
- After submitting an application, you'll receive updates from Submittable by email. To ensure you receive all notifications, follow these steps. You can also check on the status any time in your Submittable account.
